What is the zone valve?

The zone valve can be used to control the temperature in different areas of the structure, which is heated primarily by the hydronic system. Hydronics include the use of heat transfer to a warm or cooling structure by means of water as a primary medium. The structure areas can be divided into artificial zones through which the water flow is controlled by the valves. Each valve of the zone usually consists of a motor unit that is mechanically connected to the valve body. Most of the valves used in homes are electronic, although commercial and industrial applications often use units that are operated by compressed air or vacuum. The first hydronics usually included a boiler for heating water and a cooling or cooling tower for cold water, each of which had its own pipe set in the building. Modern systems include compact units known as Chiller boilers that can direct hot or cold water throughout the house or other structure using zone valves. Each room or other area in the building can have its ownOwn valve zones to allow hot or cold water to the related pipes.

Most domestic hydronic systems use electronic zones composed of electric motor and valve body. The engine can be a simple AC unit (AC) that can fully open or close the valve depending on which side is below the voltage, or it can be a device that is activated by heating the wax pellet. Units with wax motors are usually closed by spring action unless the power is applied to the thermistor to heat the wax. Each valve of the zone is usually controlled from the central location, although separate thermostats may be present in each room.

If the power or engine failure fails, the electric zone valves often have a manual obtok function. This can be useful in maintaining a camompable temperature in each zone, even if controlThe system does not work properly. Without this function, the AC engine valve would remain in its last position, while the wax motor valves would be closed for spring action.

large buildings often use zone valves that are controlled by a centralized source of compressed air or vacuum. In both cases, the natural condition of the valve is usually open, so the use of vacuum or pressure can force it to close. With these types of zone valve, a number of comprehensive building management systems can be used, allowing you to firmly control the environment from the central location.
