What is an electric element?
The electrical element is the coil of resistance that is designed to create heat by causing electrical friction. Almost every household device that uses electricity to produce heat has some type of electric element. The size and shape of the coil varies according to its use, but the basic design remains the same.
The coil is made of a material that offers a current or current resistance. As the current travels, it creates friction from a coil that produces heat. The coil itself does not perform electricity, so it does not create a shock if it touches the object that performs electricity. The elements must be made of specific materials to withstand the produced extreme heat. If they are immersed as an element of the water heater, it must also be resistant to corrosion caused by moisture.
