What is web remediation?

Remediation on site is the process of removing pollutants and contaminants from the land. These pollutants may include many different types of hazardous waste that can be harmful to human health or the environment. There are a number of materials that can cause the site to require remedy, including by -products from production and industrial waste or a high level of chemical concentration from any number of resources. The remediation of the site is usually focused on one of the four basic types of pollutants, including toxic, flammable, explosive or substances causing diseases. Soil and water samples are tested to determine whether the site requires cleaning to determine the level of contamination.

In the US, the remedy is supervised by the Agency for Protection of the Environment (EPA), while most of Europe relies on a system known as "Dutch standards". The EPA manages the program known as "Superfund", which pays for the projects of the web remediation. The funds for this program come from fines collected against companies found guilty of pollutants. Many American cities also offer tax and landsEmotional incentives for developers who are willing to accept the projects remediation.

Two types of techniques are used to clean the contaminated area. Ex-Situ techniques include the removal of hazardous substances from the area, while In-Sit techniques use chemicals and other reagents to treat soil and water without their removal. The Ordinary Ex-Situ method is known as "pump and dump" where the soil and water are removed and sent to landfills. The most common In-Situ technique is "pumping and treatment", where dirty soil or water is brought to the surface and treats chemicals to suppress against hazardous substances. The use of bacteria to remove pollutants, a process known as organic remediation, also grows in popularity.
