What Is a Bone Conduction Hearing Aid?
Implantable hearing aids, also known as bone conduction hearing aids, are new types of hearing aids invented by scientists at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden in January 2013. Unlike other hearing aids, implantable hearing aids can use the skull to transmit sound waves to the inner ear so that the patient can hear. At the same time, there is no need for fixtures, so there is no need to worry about losing some small parts. This technology can be used to treat hearing loss due to chronic inflammation or bone disease in the outer or middle ear.
