What is a monoject syringe?

Syringe MonojEct ™ is a syringe in the Monoject ™ product line, made under Kendall, Covidien Company. The slopes come in different sizes and configurations depending on their intended use. Clears Monoject ™ General purposes are primarily used to supply liquid drugs or for extraction of blood or other fluids from the body. Specialized models are designed for insulin injections or for irrigation or flushing of body cavities or medical devices.

The word syringe has a double meaning. It refers to a plastic cylinder or barrel that holds the volume of liquid, and the combined barrel and needle. The MonojEct ™ range includes three types of syringes - plastic barrels designed for use by themselves, plastic barrels on which consumers can attach needles, and plastic barrels already permanently connected to needles. Monoject ™ insulin syringes permanently attached barrels and needles.RS syringes Monoject ™ are made of translucent polypropylene, type of hardplastic. Plungers are inclined by seals made of polyisoprene, synthetic version of natural rubber. All Monoject ™ syringes are without latex without latex. This is important because some people are allergic to latex.

Most of the barrels in the MonojEct ™ syringe line are marked with liquid units, usually milliliters or cubic centimeters, so the volume of liquids can be measured precisely. Insulin syringes are also marked with insulin units because the insulin is dosed in specialized units. Bold black marks are stretched into the barrels, so they cannot be blurred or washed during use.

The bottom of each MonojEct ™ syringe includes a slim tube -shaped nozzle called the tip. The syringe tips come in a number of lengths, diameters and shapes. Most tips are relatively short and are designed to be attached to needles or other medicalEquipment such as tubing. The barrels used to supply oral drugs often have long, curved tips to achieve the patient's mouth.
