What is adapalen?

Adapalene is a current medicine used to treat acne, pilalaris keratosis and other skin conditions. It is also available combined with benzoyl peroxide in the gel. There is potential for side effects, so this medicine is only available as prescription. Sometimes it is prescribed in conjunction with other acne drugs. It is usually used one night before bedtime, but some patients could be warned to use it in the morning. It is available at a concentration of 0.01 percent in gel, cream or cream and 0.03 % concentration gel for more serious cases.
