What is orthosis?

orthotics are made devices used to repair incorrectly alignment in the body or provide support for body part. They are available for many areas of the body and can be used temporarily or for many years. Orthosis is designed and equipped with an orthotist, often in conjunction with an orthopedic physician, and it may be necessary to replace it with how the body part is growing or the orthotic wear. Orthosses are used to control, facilitate or reduce movement and improve the leveling of pain and instability.

They are usually made of plastic composites and can have metal or elastic materials for attaching the device. Usually the cast is made of an area to be reinforced, which is used to create a final orthotic. The plastics are lightweight and durable and are generally worn above a layer of clothing to prevent glitter or irritation. Some of them are available on the shed braces, usually made of elastic fabrics. These can provide some support but not compareLinen in quality -made efficiency.

Orthosis can serve a number of purposes, including restrictions or facilitating the movement of part of the body. If there is a significant weakness in specific muscle groups when a fracture is present, or when movement can cause damage to the area, the area can be stabilized and moved. For example, in some patients it could cause spinal cord damage due to fracture or muscle or vertebral instability. In such cases, the entire back can be kept, as the limb moves, thoracolumbosacral orthosis (TLSO).

One of the most common orthotic types is ankle orthosis (AFO). This orthosis is used to support ankle and legs and is very common in young children with developmental disabilities and those who are really flat. It is also used in patients with a satisfaction of the legs or those who had a stroke because both conditions may cause damage to the nerveThe scent in the ankle area that makes walking more difficult. AFO can be suspended or upset, the other providing less stability but greater freedom of movement.

When there is a bad bone alignment, orthosis can help correct this problem. One of the most common applications for orthotic equipment for repair incorrectly equalization is the orthotic jacket for scoliosis. The jacket helps to improve the abnormal curvature of the spine by exerting pressure on the spine area. Scoliosis can cause pain and problems with motor tasks, but the orthotic jacket can reduce the pain and delay of the need for surgery.
