What is benztropin?
Benztropine, also known as benzathhopin, is a drug that is commonly used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease, Akthaisia and dystonia. It is also often used to effect some side effects of other drugs such as antipsychotics. Whether there is a reason that is prescribed, it treats similar problems as problems with muscle control, convulsions and stiffness. It can also provide relief from excessive production of saliva and sweat. The overall effect of the drug use is to relax the body and allow smooth and regular movement. Benztropin also has antihistamine properties that help with fluid overproduction. It also contains an inhibitor of reuing dopamine, which strives to calm the nerves. It is typically prescribed to remove with a full glass of water in bed and food. Benztropine can also be prescribed for a less regular schedule, depending on the patient's needs. Drugs usually take several days to achieve full effect.
There are several conditions that can cause benztropin to be too risky, or at least require special dosage or observation of the doctor during treatment.
