What is Cypoplastics?
Cypoplastics is a surgical technique used to treat the progressive collapse of the vertebral body and/or fractures (VFC). Osteoporosis or the spread of the tumor to the spine area can cause condition. Osteoporosis is a condition related to the age that causes bone softening. The building blocks weaken and then collapse. There are certain forms of cancer that also weaken bones and cause the same problems. Cypoplastics includes the use of a balloon to restore the vertebral body to its correct shape and height. This is followed by bone cement to strengthen it. Cypoplastics is best done for several weeks after VFC appears.
Cypoplastics is usually performed during intravenous sedation. The patient lies face down on the table, and two X -ray machines show where the bones are collapsed. Cypoplastics begins with two small cuts in the back; Then the tube is inserted into the center -tier body. The balloons are placed over this tube and inflated to push the bone back to its normal shape and height.
The procedure also creates a cavity in the bone. When the cavity is formed, the surgeon removes the balloon. Cement is used to fill the cavity in a very slowly and controlled way. The cement is allowed to solidify before the surgeon removes the tubes. A single shar is used to close the cut.
After surgery of cypoplastics, patients can usually go home on the same day. Patients can continue their normal activities as soon as possible. There are no restrictions on the type of activities they can perform.
As with all invasive operations, there are some minimum risks for cypoplastic. Some patients may complain about persistent pain, probably due to tissue irritation involved in surgery. The degeneration of the spine or the underlying arthitjs are more often the cause of the persistent pain. If there is pain related to the procedure of cypoplastics, it should disappear for two weeks.
after treatment toYpoplastics can osteoporosis cause fractures at other levels. Patients must take bone strengthening drugs during treatment. Cypoplastics usually prevent fractures, but if they happen, more cypoplastics can be required to alleviate the condition.
