What are mixed martial arts?
Mixed martial arts, also known as fighting without holding, is a combat sport that mixes techniques from various martial arts, Greek-Roman wrestling, boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. While this form of fighting has existed since the end of the 18th century, it was Bruce Lee who made the movement a popular creation of a unique combat style that combined everything from western box to karate to fencing. Mixed martial arts did not become an official sport until it was founded in the US in 1992 in the US.
There are very few rules in mixed martial arts, all of which have been established in the last ten years. Previously, it was a brutal combat sport in which the health of the warrior was always endangered. The new rules dictate that certain movements, including heads, biting and eye irritation, are not allowed. Attacking a weakness, kidneys and trachea are also prohibited. There is no worldwide association chairman of this combat form, so the rules differ from country to country. Amateur struggles have the usualA stricter set of rules to protect the health of warriors.
During mixed martial arts, there are basically three phases: fighting with stand-up, clothing fighting and ground fighting. Stand-up fights include techniques such as digging, punching, collar and elbow of the opponent, while ground fighting involves holding the opponent down by means of harsh holding. Fighting the clinic means holding an opponent, either to prevent strokes, or get a dominant position on the ground.
Most fighters during the fighting use small gloves. Both open finger gloves and closed, similar to those used in the box, depending on the type of struggle, in the ground, and the weight category of warriors. In mixed martial arts, there are different ways of winning: knockout (KO), technical knockout (TKO), stopping of a doctor and submission in which a warrior voluntarily admits defeat. Referees can also stop fighting if they believe that one of the fighters has suffered a challengewill freeze injuries. Numerous fouls or warnings such as illegal punches or ejecting an opponent from the ring can lead to disqualification.
