What are snow birds?

Snowbirds are people who leave their homes when the temperature drops and heads south to a warmer climate. Mostly they are pensioners and owners of businesses who can afford to take off the winter. While the snow flies in the northern states, they enjoy golf, sailing and grilling at moderate temperatures in the south. Then, after the winter passages, they return to their homes in the north.

Most snow birds leave Canada and northern states between mid -October and end of November. They pack up and head to Florida, Alabama, Texas, California and all other southern states. Some may even go to Australia or Italy to escape cold winter weather. In many areas there are special communities for snow birds. Snowbirds are also offered special discounts for some restaurants, hotels and attractions from the area. Several countries even have special Snowbird centers. There are several online communities and local sources that help to engage snow birds seasonal houses.

Some snow birds own houses in the south and north. Both houses have everything they need for their stay and minimize the amount of packages necessary when switching from one to another. Other snow birds I rent apartments or apartments throughout my stay outside my home state. Hotels and resorts, although usually more expensive than other options, sometimes have special offers for snow birds. This option is great for people who want to move from place to place while staying in a warmer climate.

recreational vehicles, or RVS, are a huge part of the lifestyle of Snowbird. RV allows snow birds to move from place to the whim and bring everything they need with them. They spend nights in RV parks, large parking lots or anywhere else where they decide to stay. RV have beds, bathrooms and most other modernniences available in normal DOctober. Although the spaces are small, there is more than enough space for a couple.

Snowbirds enjoy the best of what the weather offers. They avoid the cold winters of the northern states by moving south for several months. When he begins to heat south in the spring and summer, they move back north. They enjoy mild weather all year round and see many new places. Snowbird lifestyle is ideal for people who want to see the country or the world in their retirement years.
