What is Lite British®?
Combine a light box with colored plastic pins and pegboard, resulting in Lite Brite®, the creative toy first introduced by Hasbro Toy in 1967. For generation of children after Baby Boom, Lite British was a welcome accessory to other electrified toys such as Easy Bake Ove® and vibrating football tables. Lite Brite® also attracted the attraction of work best in the dark, an interesting place for young children to explore. The scorpions included in the ensemble have taken a large part of guessing for younger artists, while open pegboards and a wide range of colored pins attracted for older children and even adults.
Lite Light Box Lite Brite® was usually powered by a single bulb with a high power consumerly located from the reach of young hands. Various templates contained in the Lite Brite® popular animals, flowers or other fantastic patterns could be attached to the pegboard. Once all the pins were firmly in place, everyone could enjoy the finished project, especiallyin a completely darkened room.
While the Lite Brite® set has provided hours of fun for children, it could sometimes be a bit difficult. The lost pins were often discovered later and the replacement of bulbs contained inside the imaging field has often become the responsibility of the parent. Small, colored pegs also attracted very small children who sometimes led to random but non -toxic use. As long as older children remained careful when raising the stray pegs and shutting down the light box, Lite Brite® was a relatively safe toy.
Hasbro still produces Lite Brite® sets, although they made several modifications along the road. Modern orchards could be used for pegboards on the upper and sides of the cube and the color spectrum has been extended by more pastel and fluorescent shades. There is also a Lite Brite® set that combines traditional PEG lighting with SPIN ART® elements - an empty piece of paper is connected to the rotating tableThe young artist applies various fluorescent lamps to create abstract patterns. Future generations can still enjoy simple fun in creating color images using Lite Brite®.
