What is the badge of physical fitness?
Badge of physical fitness is embroidered valuation awarded to members of the US Army who receive a high qualification score in a physical fitness test. This test is sorted in three sections consisting of a candidate performing push-up, sit-up and running two kilometers (3.2 kilometers). Individuals who in each part of the score better than 90 can receive this badge and wear it on uniforms during exercise of physical training. The middle badge has a golden shape of a human figure with arms stretched over the emblem of the United States. The EMBL contains thirteen red and white stripes and six white stars on a blue background, a representative of the original stars and strip flags accepted by American colonies during the foundation of the country. In dark blue, the words "perfection of physical fitness" are quilted around the badge. This uniform consists of a regulatory T -shirt or sweatshirt with the army logo, worn in combination with regulatory shorts or running trousers. The badge must be worn on the left side of the body and centered above the breast.
Army soldiers must pass physical fitness test to graduate from basic training and twice a year to stay included. The test consists of three parts that measure the ability of the soldier to perform handles, sit-ups and operate the timed 2 miles (3.2 km). Each part of the test is worth 100 points for the total score of the soldier. The recruit must get a score of 50 or better in each part to undergo basic training. It must get 60 or better in each area to stay classified, and the score must be 90 or better to qualify for a physical fitness badge.
Push-up, sit-ups and running speed requirements are based on the age and sex of the soldier. Graphs are available from the US Army, which describes in detail how many repetitions the applicant must perform in one minute and how quickly two miles must run to get a certain score. For example, a man who is 21 years of age who wants to qualify for a badgePhysical prowess, must play at least 64 push-ups, 72 sit-ups in one minute and run two miles in 13 minutes and 42 seconds. A woman who follows this award at the same age
