What is a zebra shark?

Zebra shark is named for its distinctive striped color pattern. In fact, this formula is changing how sharks age - the stripes turn into a place. In some cases, older sharks are indeed referred to as Leopard Sharks, but technically they are still generally considered to be zebra sharks, although they no longer look like zebras. The fully grown Zebra shark can be 11 feet long (3.3 meters), but they start to lose stripes when they are only 27 inches (70 cm). These sharks have a wide head, long tail and two combs that run along the entire length of their body.

Zebra Sharks is not known to be particularly dangerous for human swimmers. They are lower feeders, usually hunt at night and rest during daylight. Their favorite meals include shrimp, crabs, molluscs and sometimes smaller fish. In general, they are quite qualified in how to twist into tight spaces, which makes them particularly good in finding food sources on the seabed.

These sharks are most commonly found inIndian Ocean, Pacific Ocean and Red Sea. This series includes areas such as South Africa, Vietnam, Australia and Japan. They usually live near the coast in shallow places near coral reefs. They have the ability to tolerate fresh water, at least for a short time, but probably do not spend much time in such an environment.

When breeding uses a male shark clips to fertilize the woman internally. Later, it lays a very large and well protected egg that hatches after about six months. When it is born for the first time, the zebra zebra shark is about 11 inches (30 cm) and must immediately take care of themselves.

zebra shark is not technically considered an endangered species, but many experts feel that it was exaggerated. Their meat is quite popular in a number of different meals and their fins are commonly used for shark fin soup. They are likely to decline.

Some people believe that Shark Fin Soup has healing properties, which has led to its popularity in certain parts of the world. Many types of sharks had large population decreases due to excessive fishing commercial vessels looking for shark fin. When sharks are caught for this purpose, the fins are usually removed and the rest of the shark is generally thrown into the sea. This practice, called "Finning", has been banned in many countries, including the United States.
