What is Emergen-C®?
Emergen-C® is vitamin C Fizzy Drink Mix, which is designed to provide people with energy increase, improve immunity and overall health. To use this product, simply add powder to 4 to 6 ounces (118-177 ml) of water or juice, mix and drink. Less liquid used to mix beverage, the stronger the taste. Each of the 20 varieties of this beverage is slightly different, but all come from the same original formula. The Acerr Corporation based in Foothill Ranch, California, produces this beverage mix and sells it through health food stores, online retailers and some supermarkets. Vitamin C, the main component in the emerging C®, participates in the body's ability to create collagen. Depending on the formula, the amount of vitamin C in one is served between 0.02-0.04 ounces (500-1000 milligrams). This is 834-1600% of the recommended Ministry of Agriculture of the United States (USDA) Daily contribution for this vitamin.
The original Emergen-C® formula also contains vitamins B to helpwith metabolism and energy. The amount of vitamins B is between 400-500% of the daily contribution of the recommended USDA depending on which Formula 1 uses. Minerals of magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, manganese, chromium, sodium and potassium round out the basic ingredients in the original formula. Lipoic acid quercetin and alpha are flavonoids and are included in the original formula. They are in some, but not in all, other formulas.
Six special Emergen-C® formulas include vitamin D and calcium, joint health, heart health, MSM, immune defense and electrolyte formula. They come in mixed berries, tangerine, black cherry and lemon flavors. It is assumed that vitamins, minerals or herbs included in these samples support bones, immune and heart.
In addition, the company produces multi-vitamin fizzy beverage formula for children coming in strawberry bananas and orange pineappleflavors. The adult multivitamin formula is available in the taste of pomegranates and apricot mango flavors. Both vitamin formulations meet the recommended daily contribution for most vitamins, but contain only a small percentage of the recommended daily contribution of each mineral.
Vitamin C Emergen-C® megadosis can cause side effects, including stomach nausea, nausea, diarrhea, kidney stones or stomach inflammation. However, no interactions have been reported between this product and other over -the -counter or prescription drugs. Despite this, those who take medication can be used before using Emergen-C® just to be safe.
