What are probiotics?
We share a complicated relationship with bacteria. Among other things, it is on our skin, in our intestinal tract, urinary tract. Too many bacteria can be very sick, but too little can also make us more vulnerable to illness. Probiotics that are bacteria that naturally occur or add to food can actually be beneficial in consumption.
Although most natural food stores will require a number of favorable effects of probiotics consumption, only a few of these effects have been clinically proven. Most of the beneficial effects of probiotics concern those who use antibiotics. Antibiotics are fantastic for killing bacteria that make us impossible. But they do not discriminate between "bad" bacteria and "good bacteria", such as those contained in probiotics. The use of antibiotics was indicated in causing yeast infection, itching athlete, irritable intestine syndrome (IBS) and urinary tract infections. One of the theories for probiotics is thatTaking probiotics during antibiotic treatment can maintain a healthy balance in these areas of our body by replacing "good" bacteria.
Most often people think of yogurt as for probiotic food. Yogurt has shown to prevent the intestinal tract and the vaginal area will suffer from the loss of healthy bacteria. Yogurt is probiotic when it contains Lactobacillus or other bacteria. Yogurt will usually have reading labels "contains live cultures". Many doctors now recommend consuming probiotics such as yogurt during antibiotics to prevent infection of yeast or long -term IBS. Since bacteria were also indicated in yeast infections occurring in groin, such as itching athlete, men are also encouraged to eat yogurt with probiotics.
Another popular probiotic is a kefir, a drink made of cultures that usually flavored with fruit. What is not generally probioTical, but is frozen yogurt. So, how good, as it can taste, the blade of frozen vanilla yoghurt will not prevent or help heal the yeast infection. Probiotics can be easily obtained in normal yoghurt, kefir, cottage cheeses, canned vegetables and powder beverage mixtures. Do not forget to look at the label for the presence of probiotics.
When we take probiotics, we actually add bacteria back to our system. However, not all bacteria are considered safe. Our intestines contain bacteria that can be intensely harmful, such as E. coli, Step and Staph. Good hygienic practices when using the toilet is essential to prevent life -threatening infections. Group B Strep, which may be present on skin cells, in the rectum and vagina, can affect newborns exposed to bacteria when traveling through the birth canal. Normal bacteria on the skin can also make one more vulnerable to cuts or burns infections.
most commercialThe products include only healthy probiotics that will not damage us. However, claims about other benefits of probiotics are not clinically tested. Normal unproven claims are that probiotics of slow aging, are antioxidants or anticarcinogenic, headaches, restore energy and can regulate the mood for those with bipolar or depression.
Further clinical studies should be performed to prove the truth of these other claims. In the meantime, however, research suggests that the use of probiotics during and after the use of antibiotics can be useful. If a person is susceptible to frequent yeast infections or itching, probiotics can also help reduce the incidence of these conditions. Those who suffer from IBS can also consider probiotics in yogurt especially useful.
