What are the toys for the flows?

The

toys for the flows was founded in 1947 by Colonel William Hendricks of the Reserve Marine Corps Reserve of the United States. The official story is that the colonel's wife created a child's doll and gave her to her husband to give the organization collecting toys for the necessary children. When Hendricks could not find any such organization in Los Angeles, he founded his own and in the first year he gathered toys for more than 5,000 families using other midfielders. The Maritime Choir was inspired by the program and in 1948 it became nationwide. Since its foundation, Toys for Tats has met this goal with radical success, supported by Walt Disney Company and a number of celebrities. Many organizations throughout America support toys around Christmas and collection points in department stores, supermarkets, libraries and schools. Motorcycle clubs are often active in these collections, providing an example of widely heterogeneous groups that support the mission.

Until 1980, toys for the flows of new and used toys accepted, renovated used toys and donated them to grateful families. Growing concerns about the safety of the toys used, especially those produced before the 1970s, which may contain lead and other toxic substances, combined with increasing demand on the naval corps, caused the organization only demanded new toys. The toys for the flows also felt that the distribution of toys were not encouraging or morality and that children would use more of the new toys.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was founded in 1991 to support the choir in their goals. It complements the collections made by Marines, distributes promotional and supporting materials, provides a point for deductible cash donations, cooperates with corporations to promote toys collection, and ensures that the group is in full compliance with the Standards of Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Donors can discard toys on different points around the world and can tIf donate the foundation money, time or used vehicles. Toys can be required by agencies, teachers or individuals who see children in need. Marines are giving away toys often attend a full dress in uniform.
