What is the hypothenar eminence?
In the thumb there are several muscles that allow the movement of hands and fingers. The three of these muscles that allow the movement of a small finger are known together as Hypothenar Eminence. This name is based on the fact that they resemble the muscles that control the movement of the thumb, they are called eminence. Muscles Hypothenar and Therar Eminence, with one exception, initially reach from the same area, transverse carpal ligaments. Abductor muscle is most media and closest to uln or arm's arms on the same side as thumb. This muscle is the only group that does not come from a transverse carpal ligament.

Like the muscular muscles, the muscles containing the hypothenar eminence receive news from the brain through Ulnar nerve. Some disease conditions of the hand are associated with this innervation. If this nerve is damaged or suffered by the lesion, the muscles begin to degrade before abuse. This condition of the disease is known as Hypothenar atrophy and may result in loss of muscle function and matter
scientists have noted that hypothenar eminence is particularly prone to loss of feeling, pain and weakness. This condition is difficult to diagnose because imaging studies do not always reveal damage. Exams may not always show the specific cause of this condition.
studies of this condition revealed that sometimes small bones fractures can cause problems with Hypothenareminence. In particular, HATE and PISIFORM bones can create hypothenar conditions. Computer tomographic imaging can sometimes reveal these problems when X -rays cannot. Hypothenar muscles are not inserted into these bones, but fractures may lead to loss of blood flow or damage to ulnar nerves that affect muscles.
