What is a micropipette?
micropipettes are a common type of laboratory device designed to transmit and measure a very small amount of liquid. They can be used to measure volume already 0.003 ounce (0.1 milliliter). The standard micropipettes used in laboratory settings have several basic parts including the setting codebook and the piston buttons. Plungers on micropipetes are a depressive thumb and after release the liquid can be drawn into a special plastic tip. Several different sizes, types and styles of micropipetes are available. At the end of the shaft, these pipettes also have a point of attachment created to suit different types of one -off tips. The liquids are stretched into disposable plastic peaks mounted at the end of the micropipette shaft instead of into the shafts themselves. Dvě hlavní tlačítka nalezená na většině mikropipet jsou tlačítko Plos aTlačítko vyhazovače tipu. Press the ejector button to make the pipette at the end of the device immediately release the disposable tip.
Most micropipetu Plungers are designed to stop in two different positions. Depressive piston to the first stop position and slowly releases its release, causing the pipette to stretch the desired volume of liquid to its disposable tip. Press the micropipette to the second stop point releases the volume of fluid drawn on the device at the first stop. To draw accurate measurements, pipette Plungers should be pressed down to the first stop point before the tip of the pipette is inserted into the sample.
Three of the more common micropipette sizes include P20, P200 and P1000. Each other size is designed to measure liquids in different volumes. The P20 micropipette can measure volumes in the range of 0.02 and 0.7 ounces (0.5 and 20 milliliters), while the P200 can measure volumes between 0.7 and 6.8 ounces (20 and 200 milliliters). The P1000 micropipetes are some of the larger micropipette available and are usually used to measure liquidn with a volume ranging between 3.4 and 33.8 ounces (100 and 1,000 milliliters).
Dialing with the micropipette volume setting helps to ensure accurate measurement. This component is used to adjust the volume of the liquid entering the tip of the pipette. Once this dial has been modified, the digital value changes on the volume indicator to reflect the settings.
