What is Collaborative Research?

The Cooperative Research Act refers to the first statute in the United States to promote educational research. Adopted in 1954. Authorizes the Director of the General Administration of Education to sign contracts with higher education institutions and state educational administrations to provide them with financial assistance to carry out research, investigations and demonstrations in education disciplines. The first federal funding provided in 1956 was $ 500,000. [1]
