What is Kardashv Scale?

Kardashev scale is a way to classify, how technologically advanced civilization is. The scale was originally ranged from type I to III, although in recent years civilizations of type IV and type V have been informally added. This number was quoted as about 10^16 watts, although it could be much larger. If you really want to use all the strength of the planet, it would require its dismantling and reconfiguration to the gigantic solar panel much thinner and larger than the original Earth. This would also theoretically require the association of all atomic cores with a weight lower than for iron and cleavage of all atomic cores with a weight greater than that of iron to extraction energy. Available energy would be several orders of orders than typical estimates.D All energy on this planet is informally known as type 0 civilization.Type 0 and type I was such with an available power level of 4 x 10^12 watts.

Civilization of type II Cardashv would take advantage of all the power available from a single star. This number is around 10^26 watts, but as in the last case it was probably underestimated. With the power of the whole galaxy at its disposal, civilization could probably come up with radical new energy sources, maybe extract energy from the vacuum itself. Kardashv Type IV would be one that consumes the power of the whole galactic super -slip. Of course, Kardashv Type V would be a civilization that occupies the entire universe.
