What are Walkie Talkies?
The English name of the two-way radio is two way radio. It is a two-way mobile communication tool. It can talk without any network support, and there is no call charge. It is suitable for relatively fixed and frequent calls. There are currently three types of walkie-talkies: analog walkie-talkies, digital walkie-talkies, and IP walkie-talkies.
- Intercom is
- 1. The walkie-talkie is not restricted by the network. In places where the network is not covered, the walkie-talkie allows users to easily communicate. [1]
- The walkie-talkie works as follows: [1]
- The radio has the following main performance indicators: [1]
- In order to ensure that the majority of users' calls are not disturbed and the frequency resources are used reasonably, the National Radio Station Management Committee has divided the use of frequencies and stipulated that different industries use the corresponding
- The handset can talk up to 6 kilometers in a flat and open environment.

- The design of the walkie-talkie complies with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Information Industry [2001] No. 869, it will not cause harm to the human body, and when using the walkie-talkie, it is not close to the human body, but talks 5 to 7 cm away from the human body. [2]

- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's notice on the frequency planning and use management of special radios for the 150MHz and 400MHz bands is as follows:
- In order to meet the social demand for the use of digital walkie-talkies, promote the healthy development of digital walkie-talkies, and further improve the spectrum utilization rate, on December 12, 2011, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "About 150MHz, 400MHz band dedicated radio frequency planning and use management "Notice on related matters", the development of digital walkie-talkies in China has a formal basis. The notice reads as follows: [11]
- I. The frequency range of the dedicated radios in the 150MHz and 400MHz bands specified in this article is: 137 MHz-167 MHz, 403MHz-423.5MHz. Among them, the management of dedicated frequency stations for the maritime service is still performed in accordance with the existing documents. The dedicated frequency range of the maritime service can be used as a dedicated radio frequency, but it must not cause interference to the maritime services in adjacent areas; the frequency band of 144MHz-146MHz is a dedicated frequency for amateur services and is not used as a dedicated radio frequency; 409.75MHz-409.9875MHz Existing documents are implemented; in order to meet the usage needs of small-scale internal paging services, seven frequency points are planned for this service in the 137MHz-167MHz frequency band. [11]
- Second, 150MHz, 400MHz dedicated walkie-talkie channel interval adjusted from 25kHz to 12.5kHz, one or two time slots can be arranged for each channel; of which, the 150MHz dual-band use frequency receiving and sending frequency interval is 5.7MHz, 400MHz dual-band use frequency sending and receiving frequency The interval is 10MHz. [11]
- 3. Taking into account the demand for radio frequency use in major events and emergency situations, plan some frequencies in the 150MHz and 400MHz bands as national frequencies. The national dedicated frequency is under the unified management of the national radio authority, and no individual or unit may use it without authorization. Where there are temporary major activities and emergency use requirements in various places, they should be reported to the national radio authority for use after approval. [11]
- Fourth, 150MHz, 400MHz frequency band dedicated radio frequency allocation and use planning and frequency stations are mainly localized management. Based on the frequency allocation plan of Annex I, local radio management agencies can plan the frequency allocation and use of the frequencies that can be allocated or assigned by the provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) based on the actual local conditions. In the planning process, radio management agencies in various places should ensure the continuity of service use in principle for special use requirements involving public safety, safety in production, disaster reduction and disaster relief; for some use requirements with cross-regional characteristics, they should be compatible with Neighboring provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) have full coordination. Before the implementation of each local plan, it should be reported to the national radio authority for the record. All localities should take measures to make the transition between old and new planning, and complete the transition within 6 years from the implementation of this article. [11]
- V. Within half a year from the date of implementation of this article, the intercom unit setting up the original frequency station approval procedures in the country should go to the local radio management agency to re-apply for frequency application and establishment approval procedures. For the new application for setting up after the implementation of this document, the local radio management agencies should perform frequency assignment and management in accordance with this planning plan; for existing legal setting units, after the frequency use has expired, they should re-perform in accordance with this planning plan Frequency assignment. In order to avoid as much as possible the loss caused by the setting-up unit to replace the existing equipment during the transition period, the local radio management agency can be provided with the necessary information such as the date of purchase of the existing equipment, the station license, and the frequency occupancy fee payment certificate to apply for an extension of the frequency use period. [11]
- Sixth, the radio transmission equipment used in production, import, sales and installation must obtain the radio transmission equipment type approval certificate issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. From the date of implementation of this article, in accordance with the "Radio Frequency Technical Specifications for Digital Radio Equipment in the 150MHz and 400MHz Bands" (see Annex II), the model of the radio transmitting equipment of the digital radio equipment in this band is approved. At the same time, starting from January 1, 2011, the type approval of the analog radio equipment in the frequency band has been stopped, and the analog radio equipment that has obtained the type approval certificate will not be extended after the type approval certificate expires. For the maritime service-specific interphone equipment, the model approval technical indicators continue to use the original analog intercom equipment indicators, and the type approval equipment name indicates "water services". The technical specifications of public radio equipment approval are still implemented in accordance with the existing documents. The technical standards for 150MHz band paging equipment approval are separately formulated. [11]
