What is a digital film projector?

A digital film projector is a device that performs the same function as a movie projector, but uses digital data and other projection scheme. There are two primary types of digital film projector. The first is called a micromirror projector and uses millions of tiny mirrors on pang to control how images appear on the theater screen. The second is called the liquid crystal projector (LCD). The LCD projector uses a large mirror with a LCD leaf above its upper part to adjust how the light reflects on the screen. Instead of shining light through the strip of the film, image data must be decompressed, translated and then projected in some way to the theater screen. Without a comprehensive mechanism that uses computer techniques of display and fast video processing, showing a digital film in the theater may not be possible.

Micromirror Digital film projector begins with a very clear light source that is focused on a prism. The player breaksThe only beam of light into its part of the colored parts. Each of the individual color rays hits a semiconductor plate lined with millions of mirrors, each of which each microscopic size and balanced on the type of hinge. The mirrored semiconductor plate is called the digital micromirror device (DMD).

DMD is fed information about digital film. Each micromirory can have its reflective face fully exposed, fully hidden or in a certain amount. When the colored light hits the mirror, depending on the mirror position, the color is projected on full force, not at all, or as about itself. Each mirror is related to a small, almost undetectable dot on the projection screen. Mirror is inverted thousands of times every second, while the film plays to create a picture.

LCD projector, sometimes also called Digital image amplification (D-ILA), uses a slightly different technique to achieve almost the same resultsIku. Strong light is aimed at a mirror that was covered in a special display sheet of liquid crystal. Because the information from the digital film is fed to the LCD sheet, it responds by allowing you to go through everything, no or some light and reflects outside the mirror. The variety of LCD leaf pixels, as well as micromirory, is manipulated by creating an image on the screen screen.
