What is a remote camera?

A remote camera is a static or video camera that can automatically capture images without the presence of a human operator. These images are transmitted to the operator in a remote location, recorded for later research or both. Remote camera systems are widely used in safety, supervision and military technology. Recreational uses include game hunting, art photographs and entertainment parks. The filmmakers sometimes use distant cameras in situations that would be dangerous or impractical for the human camera operator. This person controls the focus, zoom and composition of all shots. In the remote setting of the camera, all these functions are managed by mechanically by the operator in another place. The camera is often mounted on a wall or other stable place or is placed on a tripod where it is unlikely to be disturbed. The operator can live on a remote monitor by electronic transmission and can often control the camera as needed.

A common setting of a remote camera for safety purposes is a closed circuit system (CCTV), in which data from various cameras are monitored in a central location, such as the control room. CCTV systems are also used to monitor transport conditions, transmission of overload images to commuting or traffic reporters. Another type of documents documents about the traffic cameras of the law and automatically records information about the vehicle license for later citations. Military forces use remote cameras for supervision and targeting. The private and public spacecraft often has distant cameras mounted on them to document the way to space.

Another type of remote camera is called the trail and hunters use it to watch game activity. Such cameras were even employed by a legendary forest creature known as Bigfoot. The amusement parks use remote cameras to document the experience of park visitors such as JEjich reactions to a particularly exciting ride. Home owners sometimes give remote cameras for a more serious task, document activity in their homes while missing. These cameras are often used to monitor the behavior of children's care employees, leading to a popular phrase "CAM".

Film creators often also use this technology. A common type of remote camera used in documentary film creation is a time -lapse camera that can be set and left to record gradual changes in the scene for hours, days or even weeks. Natural documents sometimes use distant cameras to shoot elusive animals. The filmmakers from 2009 The Cove used well hidden remote cameras to document the defeat of the prisoners of dolphins in Japan. The film managed to focus worldwide attention on this secret and controversialprax.
