What is the Kerala model?

The

model Kerala is an interesting phenomenon in the Indian state of Kerala. Although Kerala is extremely poor, most of the indexes for human development are very high, in a trend that began to appear in the mid -20th century. The champions of the Kerala model suggested that it could be used as a plan to improve human development in other developing countries. Others argued that this is an isolated phenomenon that may not be sustainable. Scientists have begun to immerse themselves in what is happening in the Kerala model, because it seemed that human development indices show a standard of living that was comparable to life in developed countries, to a fraction of income. The development standard in Kerala is comparable to the standard of many of the first world of NAA is widely considered to be the highest in India. Already in the 18th century, the state had a progressive attitude to education and health. The state also promoted radical attitudes to the caste system and in the 66th of the 20th century it expanded its education to inviolable. In addition, the state is to the history of aggressive public practicesHO health, including a large network of clinics and health education teachers.

Although the Kerala model has high standards of human development, which is at a low level in terms of industrial and economic development. The high level of education in the region has resulted in the outflow of the brain, with many citizens migrating to other parts of the world for employment. The overall labor market in Kerala is also very depressing, forcing many citizens to move to places like Dubai, where May find a quality job or can basically treat them as slaves.

with mass migration of population into areas with larger work markets in Kerala has appeared a curious social stratification between the families of migrants and the families that remain together. Migrants families can afford numerous equipment, many of which cannot be achieved for other citizens. This stratification is a problem for economists, along with a depressive labor market andgenerally low income. While the Kerala model certainly illustrates one way to improve the literacy and health of the population, unfortunately it does not seem to be a solid solution to development problems.
