What do Inspectors of cargo do?
Cargo inspectors check a lot of cargo to deal with concern about the safety and responsibility associated with the content of the load, as loaded or processed, or the restriction on the ship. Companies offering cargo services are located in a number of ports dealing with customer needs, including ship owners concerned with cargo, insurance companies, captains and government agencies. Individual freight inspectors can work for such companies or on an independent basis, and many of them also offer services such as rating.
