Therefore, people whose employment includes heart care enters an important specialty that requires quality training. Heart specialist Specialist is a term applied to one of a number of trained experts who provide medical care directly involving the heart. Four important types of heart specialist are cardiovascular technician, cardiovascular technologist, cardiologist and heart surgeon.

Cardiovascular techniques perform several non -invasive tests, both electrocardiogram (ECG), and procedures for monitoring of holters. These tests are used in routine physics, to determine heart problems and as a predecessor of surgery. The stress test is a short test performed on the treadmill, with the heart is observed through the ECG monitor. Holter monitor records patient heart activity for 24 or more hours of normal patient activity.

Specialist T withThe name cardiovascular technologist performs invasive and non -invasive procedures. Non -invasive procedures include echocardiography in which ultrasonic waves are used to create an image that helps to assess the heart function. Vascular sonography is used to assess blood flow, other non -invasive procedure. Invasive procedures carried out by cardiovascular technology include cardiac catheterization.

Cardiologist is another type of heart specialist. A cardiologist is a doctor who focuses on heart, arterial and vein diseases that form the cardiovascular system. Cardiologists are not trained in surgery. It treats patients with problems such as arrhythmia, cerebrovascular disease, congestive heart failure, coronary arterial disease, heart attack or myocardial infarction and hypertension. They may also have other training in areas such as echocardiography, electrophysiology, intervention cardiology or nuclearcardiology.

There are special areas on which cardiologists can decide to focus. For example, a pediatric cardiologist is a doctor who diagnoses and treats the disease and abnormalities of the heart of patients before birth under 18 years. A nuclear cardiologist is a doctor who treats patients with radioactive material non -invasive procedures.
