Trends in stock prices for medium-sized companies
The mid-cap index is based on January 2, 1998 as the base date, and the closing price on that day (that is, 1000 points) as the benchmark value. The benchmark value of the index is the same as the benchmark value of the original index (based on the closing price on January 3, 1993), which is the same as 1000 points, but the total market value of the two is different.
