What is chest X -ray tuberculosis?
Chest X -ray tuberculosis is a diagnostic procedure used to detect the presence of tuberculosis in the lungs. This procedure is used as a method of secondary screening in patients who had a positive skin test, and in patients who are at high risk of tuberculosis infection but did not have a positive skin test. It is more accurate than a simple skin test, but it is still not absolutely definitive, because tuberculosis can be very difficult diseases that are precise diagnostics. In tuberculosis, bacteria usually attack and colonize the lungs where they begin to grow slowly and interleave, which over time causes lung tissue damage. It is somewhat unusual in that it normally grows very slowly and in most cases it can be suppressed, although not completely defeated by a healthy human immune system.
The usual test to determine whether the person Hjak was exposed to tuberculosis is a small skin prick test. In this test, tuberculin is injected into the body. If the patient was beforeExposed to or vaccinated tuberculosis, usually responds to this agent, while patients who have not been exposed usually have no reaction. However, the test is not generally accurate and is particularly unreliable in patients with a compromised immune system who is one of the most vulnerable to infection tuberculosis.
In ambiguous cases or when dealing with an individual with a suppressed immune system, the chest X -ray is used to improve tuberculosis testing. In fighting tuberculosis, the immune system closes slowly growing bacteria in small bubbles in the lungs. Bubbles are usually visible on X -ray. The chest X -ray also reveals larger and more virulent tuberculosis infection that began to spread through the pulmonary tissue.
diagnostic chest X -ray is usually more accurate than the skin test but is not always able to diagnoseinfection accurately. Blood tests can also be used as part of the diagnostic process for further accuracy. Once the X -ray of chest tuberculosis or other test has shown that the patient is likely to have an active and growing infection, the infection will have to be sampled so that an effective mixture of antibiotics can be selected for the treatment of the disease.
