What Is Compassion Fatigue?

Compassion fatigue refers to the indifferent emotions after experiencing too much empathy. For example, after responding to too often or too many charity appeals, and expressing indifference to people in distress. Sympathetic fatigue is most common among health care workers and charity workers, and the psychology also develops after the public frequently receives such aid information.
