What is the calculated tomography?
Computer tomography or CT scanning is a non -invasive method of medical imaging, which is usually used for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. A series of X -rays of the cross -section is taken and combined to create a complex, two -dimensional or three -dimensional image of the scanned area. CT scanning is also referred to as calculated axial tomographic scan or scanning cats. It can also scan different parts of the body separately or can be used for overall scanning of the body. Usually, the dye is injected into the patient as a contrasting material and is then placed in a cylindrical scanning machine that takes pictures.
Computer tomography has a wide range of use in medicine. It can show cancer in different parts of the body and helps doctors to measure its spread and apply targeted treatment. The quality of computer tomography is also much higher than traditional X -ray. It allows quick identification of things such as internal bleeding that traditional X -ray would not be able to detect it. While computer tomography can provide a medical team a lot of important information, there are some people for whom it is not suitable. The radiation that includes pregnant women and the dye that is injected requires nursing mothers to take preventive measures. Children should not get them unless it is medically necessary, and even then repeated exposure should be prevented as much as possible. Some people cannot physically fit into the machines, so you need to create accommodation to help these people. The scanned areas can also be explored to MRI or magnetic resonance, and therefore not worth the risk of calculated tomographic scanning.
