What is a deep dyslexia?

Deep dyslexia is also known as acquired dyslexia or Alexia. It is one of two forms of dyslexia. Unlike developmental dyslexia, the acquired dyslexia is not present at birth. The acquired dyslexia occurs when parts of the brain are damaged that are engaged in reading and tongue. A person with a dyslexia could read and process the visual language properly before the damage occurred. Research has shown that although neurological dyslexia is also caused by a lack of phonemic consciousness. If one does not have phonemic awareness, the sounds cannot be correctly connected with letters. With deep dyslexia, the words during reading and understanding proved badly. A person with this type of dyslexia has gained enough knowledge of phonemas and sounds of words, but they process poorly in the brain.

Deep dyslexia is the result of damage to the dominant side of the human brain. Most Commonly, damage occurs on the left side. In rare cases, this form of dyslexia is due to damage to parietal or occipital brain lobes. It is very rare to find this dySlexy after a stroke, but it's possible. Damage that leads to this type of dyslexia is often the result of an infection that has spread to the brain, or because of sharp strokes into the head that caused permanent damage.

semantic errors are more common with deep dyslexia than other forms. Semantics is a process in which the brain combines words and their meanings. This form of dyslexia takes a word that reads and switches with the meaning or closely related word. For example, words may appear as the word bad or the word "table" can appear as the word "chairs".

Although deep dyslexia is a problem with being able to read aloud, it is not a completely impossible task. For many dyslexics that have obtained this condition, areas on the undamaged side of the brain are able to compensate for the damaged side. For example, if the left hemisphere is damaged, the right hemisphere may be able to compensate. Unfortunately to do itIt can only occur if enough phonetic and semantic knowledge is stored in dyslexia.

The treatment of deep dyslexia is similar to the treatment of developmental dyslexia. In this case, it focuses on building phonetic consciousness. Tutoring begins with the identification of individual sounds of letters and their national symbols. From that point on, the difficulty increases as mixed sounds and full words are introduced gradually.
