Trichomonas vaginitis clinical manifestations

Most cases are asymptomatic. Women may feel uncomfortable for 1 week or several months, and then they will obviously improve due to menstruation or pregnancy. The vaginal mucosa will be inflamed, bright red, covered with patchy pseudomembranes, and often accompanied by foamy secretion. It feels itching to varying degrees, and a few have a burning sensation. Leucorrhea increases to yellow-green. Occasionally, frequent urination, urgency, dysuria, hematuria, or abdominal pain, diarrhea, mucus, or alveolar pus, caries. Often cause urethritis, can cause cystitis, vestibular glanditis.

Trichomonas vaginitis diagnosis

Just suspend the vaginal secretions taken from the posterior fornix in saline, and do not need to stain. Examine with a common microscope to make an immediate diagnosis. It is easy to observe the rapid extension of flagella and the sprinting activity of oval protozoa. Culture is more sensitive than direct microscopy. Trichomonas vaginitis is also commonly diagnosed with Pap smears. Relevant tests should be done to rule out gonorrhea, chlamydia, and other sexually transmitted diseases.

Trichomonas vaginitis treatment

Systemic treatment
(1) Metronidazole (metridium) is 3 times a day for adults and less for children. The course of intestinal trichomoniasis is 3 to 5 days. Trichomonas urethritis, vaginitis and stomatitis are administered for 7 to 10 days. Banned for pregnant and lactating women.
(2) Tinidazole
For genitourinary tract and oral infections, the first dose is doubled once a day for 5 to 6 days.
(3) Trichomycin 3 times a day for 5-7 days.
Local treatment
(1) Trichomonas vaginitis First scrub the vaginal wall with a soap swab, and rinse the vagina with 0.02% potassium permanganate solution or warm water, then wash with 1% lactic acid or 0.5% acetic acid and wipe dry.
Diweijing, carbachol or metronidazole, either one of which is inserted into the posterior vaginal fornix or sprayed into the vagina, once every night or overnight, 7 to 10 days is a course of treatment, and 2 to 3 courses can be used in combination.
(2) Mouthwash Rinse your mouth with salt water to keep your mouth clean and hygienic. Do not eat sweet foods before going to bed.
