Pirated software
- Pirated software is software that is illegally manufactured or copied. It is very difficult to identify, but it is missing
- How to identify which software is "pirated software"
- Software sales company cannot provide legal copyright certificate
- The copyright of the software is equivalent to a person's household registration and identity card. After the software owner completes the software design, it is a copyright certificate issued by the computer software registration department of the National Copyright Administration. There are two forms of copyright for genuine software sold by a company: one is a company's own product, the copyright owner owns the company; the other is a product sold by others, and the copyright owner is the company or individual who provides the software for the company. If the company that sells your software cannot provide the above legal copyright proof, then the product is suspected of being pirated software.
- Software sales company cannot provide users with after-sales service
- A software seller who obfuscates a user's service request for various reasons and tries to escape the after-sale responsibility can also fully demonstrate that he has stolen someone else's software. Because such companies do not have software source code, it is impossible to modify any point of the software according to the needs of the user.
- Users have not been upgraded for a long time after purchasing software
- If a user buys pirated software, since the seller of the pirated software does not have the source code of the software, it is impossible for them to upgrade the software.
- Extremely low software sales prices
- Since sellers of pirated software have no development costs, maintenance costs, and upgrade costs, only software sales costs, so they can sell such software at a very low price. However, sometimes the price of the software they sell to users is not low, because they are sure that the user does not understand the market and the price, and they can kill it severely.
- Earlier version of software sold
- Under normal circumstances, genuine software developers will launch their latest version at the end of the year or at the appropriate time, which has become the practice of the software industry. If the software seller sells an outdated software product to the user (for example: they will sell the 2007 version of the software in 2009), no matter how they explain, how to justify, how to seduce you at a lower price, Keep your eyes wide open to avoid being deceived.
Causes of pirated software
- Year 2008
- On October 15, Microsoft China announced that two important updates will be launched simultaneously on October 20, 2008-Windows Genuine Advantage Program Notice ("WGA Notice") and Office Genuine Advantage Program Notice ("OGA Notice"). It is designed to help users identify whether the Microsoft Windows operating system and Office applications installed on their computers are authorized genuine software, thereby helping those who have unknowingly installed and used pirated software to avoid infringement.
- The new WGA announcement is a new round of continuous roll-out of the Microsoft WGA project. It is only aimed at Windows XP Professional users, helping users verify whether the Windows XP installed on their PC is genuine and properly licensed. The OGA notification is Microsoft's first release for Chinese Office users, covering all users of Office XP, Office 2003 and Office 2007 suites.
- WGA notification and OGA notification are optional services. Users can choose to download and install through the Microsoft Update site or Auto Update. After the verification process, they can find out whether their Windows XP or Office products are genuine and authorized accordingly.
- Users who pass the authentication can use Windows XP or Office programs directly. Users who fail verification for different reasons will receive corresponding system notifications. Such as: the product is not activated or the "Unactivated verification failed" under the trial version; "Verification cannot be completed" due to synchronization timeout, etc .; or "Non-genuine verification failed".
