China National Institute of Standardization is a public institution directly affiliated to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and a national public welfare scientific research institution engaged in standardization research in China. Its main responsibility is to study the overall, strategic and comprehensive standardization issues in national economic and social development, responsible for developing comprehensive basic standards and providing authoritative standard information services. 5. Under the authority of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, undertake the relevant work of the National Industrial Product Production License Review Office.
6. Entrusted by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine to undertake the daily work of national defective product management.
7. Authorized by the State Council to manage the code work of national organizations and promote the application of code information.
8. Authorized by the State Council to manage the barcode work of commodities across the country and promote the application of barcode technology.
9. Carry out energy saving, water saving, environmental protection product certification and CCC certification.
