What Is a Base Station?

A base station is a public mobile communication base station. It is an interface device for mobile devices to access the Internet. It is also a form of radio station. It refers to the communication between a mobile communication terminal and a mobile phone terminal in a certain radio coverage area. Passing radio transceiver station. The construction of mobile communication base stations is an important part of the investment of mobile communication operators. The construction of mobile communication base stations is generally based on factors such as coverage, call quality, investment benefits, ease of construction, and easy maintenance. With the development of mobile communication network services in the direction of data and packetization, the development trend of mobile communication base stations must also be broadband, large coverage construction and IP. [1]

A base station, that is, a public mobile communication base station, is a form of radio station, which refers to a radio transceiver station that transmits information to and from a mobile phone terminal through a mobile communication switching center in a certain radio coverage area. In simple terms, the base station is used to ensure that the mobile phone can maintain a signal anytime, anywhere during the process of movement, which can ensure the needs of calls and sending and receiving information. The equipment with moving signs on the pointed towers we see in our daily life is base stations. The base station transmits and receives messages through the antenna.
The main function of the base station is to provide wireless coverage, that is, to realize the wireless signal transmission between the wired communication network and the wireless terminal. So the position of the base station in the communication network is shown in the figure below.
The design and layout of the base station is the first work for network planning. The main content is to determine the frequency reuse method according to the frequency bandwidth. At the same time, it also needs to refer to the relative requirements such as capacity prediction, traffic distribution, and coverage. Determine the number of satellites, followed by the location of the base station and related parameters. The base station survey is an important part of determining the layout of the base station. The site survey includes optical measurement,
GK-G016 × 2Mb / S-type optical terminals, H950ZTE-type transmitters, DUM-48 / 50C4-type power cabinets, and TYGT606045 general-purpose cabinets are installed in the communication room of the base station. The base size of the device is 600 mm × 600 mm, and the height ranges from 900 to 200 mm. The computer room is located in a residential building, separated from the residential room by a single wall. Base station working procedure

(1) A mobile communication operator who has been authorized to operate must first fill in the "Authorization Form for Public Mobile Communication Base Station Site Identification" when setting up or adding a mobile communication base station.
(2) The Municipal Party Committee Office responded to the Submitted Approval Form for Public Mobile Communication Base Station Sites within 15 days, and when it was approved to be set up, it issued the Certificate for Selecting Public Mobile Communication Base Station Sites.
(3) After the operation unit establishes a station, it shall apply to the Environmental Protection Bureau for an "Electromagnetic Radiation Environmental Qualification Certificate". The EPA should test within the three-month trial period, and after receiving the experience, issue the Electromagnetic Radiation Environmental Qualification Certificate.
(4) The station-setting unit shall apply for a radio license on the basis of the "Certificate of Selecting the Location of Public Mobile Communication Base Stations", "Technical Information Sheet for Stations" and "Electromagnetic Radiation Environmental Qualification Certificate".

Base legal basis

The Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Radio Management and the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Telecommunications make more principled provisions on the installation and protection of base stations from the perspective of radio management and telecommunications facilities, such as the forty-seventh in the Telecommunications Regulations The article states: "The operators of basic telecommunications services may attach telecommunication lines to civil buildings or install public telecommunication facilities such as small antennas and mobile communication base stations, but they shall notify the property owner or user of the building in advance." The authors provided a legal basis for setting up base stations on civil buildings.
According to the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Radio Management, the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Telecommunications, and the Measures for the Management of the Installation of Public Mobile Communication Base Stations in Shanghai, no organization or individual may obstruct operators from engaging in the installation and maintenance of base stations in accordance with the law, in violation of regulations If the base station facilities are damaged or the mobile communication is unblocked, they shall be restored to their original state or repaired, and the economic losses caused thereby shall be compensated.
