What is a pressure vacuum circuit breaker?

The pressure vacuum switch (PVB) serves as a device for protection from the return flow, which prevents contaminated water from entering clean water. Return protection valves are commonly used in irrigation systems where non -formable or contaminated water circuits are powered directly from fresh water supply. This prevents water from the irrigation system to flow back into the fresh water system. To achieve this protection against return flow, pressure vacuum circuit breakers are equipped with a spring valve that is open by the pressure from the fresh water supply. If the delivery is interrupted, the vacuum vacuum switch vacuum cleaner closes and prevents the contaminated water from flowing back to the perimeter of the drinking water. These devices prevent water contaminated with chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides or animal waste from running back into a fresh water source if the situation of the return flow occurs. If the power pressure falls completely or stops, the valve closes and the contaminated water is harmlessly undertaken to the ground. Several more complicated designs of a pressure vacuum circuit breaker also contain valves that simultaneously open to break the siphon vacuum on the supply line as added protection.
