What Are the Different Raw Materials for Paper?

Papermaking raw materials, English called papermaking raw material. Refers to the raw materials used in the paper industry. It is mainly divided into plant fiber and non-plant fiber (inorganic fiber, chemical fiber and metal fiber).

At present, the raw materials for papermaking in the world are mainly plant fibers. The coniferous or broadleaf wood used by some economically developed countries accounts for more than 95% of the total consumption.
In the first 11 months of 2012, China s papermaking raw materials imports have fallen in volume compared to the same period in 2011. According to customs statistics, in the first 11 months of 2012, China imported 27.382 million tons of waste paper, an increase of 11.8% year-on-year, and a value of 5.74 billion US dollars, a decrease of 9.1% year-on-year. 10,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%, a value of 10.07 billion US dollars, a decrease of 7.6%, the average import price of 66.81 US dollars / ton, a decrease of 19.9%.
According to customs statistics, in the first 11 months of 2012, the United States remained the largest source of imported waste paper in China, with imports accounting for 43.1% of China's total waste paper imports, totaling 11.813 million tons, an increase of 11.2% year-on-year. China imported a total of 8.08 million tons of waste paper from the 27 EU countries, an increase of 12.2% year-on-year, of which 2.952 million tons of waste paper imported from the UK, an increase of 12.3% year-on-year; 1.75 million tons of waste paper imported from the Netherlands, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year. In addition, China imported 3.469 million tons of waste paper from Japan, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%.
In the first 11 months of 2012, China imported 3.771 million tons of wood pulp from Canada, a year-on-year increase of 0.2%; imported 2.264 million tons of wood pulp from Brazil, a year-on-year increase of 20.2%; and imported 1.979 million tons of wood pulp from the United States, a year-on-year increase of 31.4%.
Customs statistics show that in the first 11 months of 2012, foreign-invested enterprises imported 19.09 million tons of waste paper, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%; imported wood pulp was 7.142 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.9%. Private enterprises imported 5.62 million tons and 4.403 million tons of waste paper and wood pulp, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 15.2% and 22.6%.
