What is a polyester powder?

Polyester Powder The coating is a dry material sprayed into a working piece and then cured to form a protective cover. This method of building coverage and protection has a number of advantages over conventional wet covering. The polyester powder coating creates a stronger and more durable surface and is more economical and safer for the environment than many forms of liquid coatings. As a result, powder coating systems have become very common in commercial and industrial processes.

In most cases, polyester powder begins as a granule of industrial polyester. These granules differ in size depending on how they were, but usually concern the size of marble. The granules are mixed with coloring books and chemicals and then fed to the extruder, where the mixture is heated until it is melted together. The extruder pushes the mixed material where the flat is rolled and left to dry. Dry leaves are divided into chips and then unfolded into powder.

There are two main types of polyester workŠKU: thermoset and thermoplastic. The thermoset coating is subject to a chemical reaction when heated, which increases the coating than its components. The thermoplastic coating is simply melted during the curing process. While thermoplastic covers are not as strong as thermosate, they are stronger than most of the conventional wet coverings.

The most common method of using polyester powder coating is in the electrostatic coating. The strength is sprayed with a system that gives the particles a positive charge. These systems can be a simple hand sprayer or can be a large closed spray chamber. When the powder hits a working piece, the difference in the electric charge causes the particles to hold.

After thorough coating the workshop is placed in a curing furnace. These furnaces are generally large conventional furnaces, similar to those found in the adomishness of the kitchen. Depending on the workplace it can only be a few minutes andPs for several days.

In addition to the larger fortress, there are a number of reasons why the polyester powder has become more popular. One of the largest is the lower cost of the process. Greater protection of the coating leads to less defective coatings, which reduces the cost of the coating. Secondly, any powder that does not stick to the workshop can be collected and reused, unlike wet covers where any excess is lost. Finally, a machine for adjusting the dry powder system generally costs less than a wet system.
