How effective is Arnica for bruises?

Arnica is a plant with small yellow or orange flowers and is growing for most of Europe. While the oral form of arnica is usually not recommended, many people often use the topical version. Since 2011, people have been using Arnik for bruises for hundreds of years; However, research over the past few years has the effectiveness of a homeopathic drug on the question. Many studies have shown that Arnica had little or no effect on therapeutic bruises or minimization of swelling and some research was inconclusive. Only a few results of the study showed positive results with the homeopathic use of Arnika. Two groups regularly took either a high or low dose or arnica while the last one took placebo. The results of this study showed no difference in any of the patients. Several homeopathic doctors claim that Arnica works best for bruises in smaller doses, so consider this particle trial invalid.

The results of another study that allegedly used less arnica on laser -induced bruises brought with withTejné results. There was no effect on bruises treated with Arnika. This particular study used Arnik before and after the induced bruise, which further challenges the efficiency of Arnika to prevent bruises. The test did not measure any other expected benefits associated with Arnika for bruises beyond the physical appearance, such as a reduction in swelling or pain.

One 2010 study showed supporting evidence regarding the effectiveness of Arnika for bruises. In this particular study, each patient had several laser bruises on his arm and each bruise had a different local ointment applied. The results concluded that 20 % of the concentration of Arnika in the current solution helped reduce bruises compared to retinol, petroleum and vitamin K. Since 2011, there are no other studies with the results as supportive as this experiment.

Despite the lack of scientific evidence supporting the effectiveness of Arnika for bruises, several medicalWorkers who are advocates of homeopathic drugs still recommend using Arnica for bruises. In general, this group agrees that regular small doses of Arnica ointment will benefit people suffering from bruises. However, excessive use may result in skin, peeling or itching. Contact dermatitis may also occur in people with sensitive skin.
