What Is a Syringe Pump?

The syringe pump is composed of a stepper motor and its driver, a screw rod and a bracket, etc. It has a reciprocating screw rod and nut, so it is also called a screw rod pump. The nut is connected to the plunger of the syringe, and the syringe holds the medicinal solution, which realizes high-precision, smooth and pulse-free liquid transmission.

When working, the single-chip microcomputer system sends out control
Can be divided into medical and non-medical by laboratory and laboratory
Non-pulsation conveying: uniform motion throughout, stable operation without pulsation Wide range running speed: 10,000 times wide running speed range greatly increases the user's flexibility without cleaning: only need to change the syringe when conveying fluid with different characteristics Accurate flow: high control accuracy When the 30% full stroke, the control error is ± 0.5%
1. There are more than 300 types of syringe pumps
When choosing a syringe, you need to consider
Depending on the volume of fluid you need to dispense, determine what type of syringe to use.
When choosing a drive, you need to consider
Fluid distribution application mode;
Operating environment and installation form;
Number of channels used? This will determine whether you choose a multi-channel or single-channel driver;
Whether the fluid flow rate and distribution accuracy meet your requirements.
Split-type syringe pump (execution unit + control unit collectively called driver)
1 Clinical Application of Syringe Pump When the drugs used in the clinic must be injected intravenously, and when the dosage must be very accurate, the total amount is small, the speed of the drug needs to be slow or constant for a long time, the syringe pump should be used to To achieve this.
2 Structure and Principle of Syringe Pump Syringe pump is composed of stepper motor and its driver, screw rod and bracket. It has a reciprocating screw rod and nut, so it is also called a screw rod pump. The nut is connected to the plunger of the syringe, and the syringe holds the medicine solution.
The single-chip microcomputer system sends out control pulses to make the stepping motor rotate. The stepping motor drives the screw rod to turn the rotary motion into a linear motion. It pushes the plunger of the syringe for injection and infusion, and injects the medicinal solution in the syringe into the human body. By setting the rotation speed of the screw, the advancing speed of the syringe needle plug can be adjusted to adjust the dose of the drug (dose speed is 0.1 to 99.9nd_ / h). The structure is shown in Figure 1.
3 Syringe pump setting and conversion method Because the measurement unit set for any kind of syringe pump is milliliter per hour, the clinically required dosage and speed are often · ksI1 / min. ~ mg / mi ~, etc. This conversion process requires conversion by medical staff. The specific conversion method is as follows.
First determine the required drugs and their dosage according to the condition. If dobutamine is required to be administered at 5 kg ~ / min and the patient weighs 60 kg, then the setting of the injection pump should be:
M = (V × W × 60) ÷ (A × K) = (5 × 60 × 60) ÷ (1000 × 10) = 1.8nd_ / h where: M is the number of milliliters per hour that should be set, V Is the clinically required drug dose (unit is pg · ksI1 / min), W is the patient's weight (unit is kg), A is the conversion constant of the dosage unit, and K is the liquid drug concentration (unit is mg / mL. For example, 500mg The drug was placed in a 50 mL syringe and the drug concentration was 10 rag / mE).
4 Operation steps of the syringe pump
4.1 Turn on the power and turn on the power switch.
4.2 Select a certain brand of syringe (20mL or 5OraL) and fix it in the syringe fixing groove of the syringe pump after extracting the drug solution.
4.3 After pressing the Band key, select a number from 1 to 5 according to the brand used and press Enter to enter. After pressing the Size key again, use the numeric keys to select the size of the syringe and press Enter to enter.
4.4 Press nd_ / h and press the number keys to enter the required dosing rate, press EI1 a ter key to enter.
4.5 Press the Start button to start administration.
