Ovariectomy indications

Ovariectomy surgery steps
- The general steps of the surgery:

Postoperative Ovariectomy Complications

- 2. Pulmonary complications: pneumonia, aspiration pneumonia, atelectasis, pulmonary edema, adult respiratory distress syndrome, pulmonary thrombosis.

Post-Ovariectomy Nursing
- 1. Monitor body temperature, blood pressure, pulse and breathing.

- 3. Intravenous rehydration can be performed on the 1st and 2nd days after the operation.
- 4. Pain relief in time.
- 5. Pay attention to bloating.
- 6. Early getting out of bed activities.
- 7. Observe the wound.
- 8. If it goes well, you can be discharged from the hospital 1 to 5 days after surgery.
Ovariectomy considerations
- The tumor is best pulled out of the abdominal cavity intact. Liquid discharge should be prohibited for malignant tumors.
Diet After Ovariectomy
- A liquid diet can be entered 6 hours after surgery, but milk and sugar are forbidden, and the diet should not be excessive. After the peristalsis of the intestine is restored, it can exhaust itself and gradually transition to general food. In order to promote early healing of the incision and body recovery, it is advisable to enter a high-protein, high-vitamin, nutritious diet.
