What is Provac?
Prosec® is the first time introduced in the 80s of the 20th century by Eli Lilly®. It is an antidepressant that belongs to the drug class called selected serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIS), which help release serotonin in the body and can regulate mood. SSRIs were designed as a replacement for other antidepressants called tricyclic antidepressants (TCA), which worked in a similar way, but had a profile of a heavy side effect.
