What are endangered species?

Endangered species are organisms that are in the relatively close future endangered by extinction unless there is an intervention or radical change. If nature conservation measures are not taken, these species may disappear in the wild. While programs of captivity breeding can be used to maintain species, such programs carry risks, including the loss of genetic diversity due to a limited number of organisms enrolled in the program to begin, composed of organization and maintenance of the breeding program. For example, some species are extremely demanding in captivity breeding. Endangered species are cataloged on the list known as the Red List, and such species are sometimes known as "red species" that reflect it. The IUCN Red List is available online and a printed copy in the insert is also published. It is constantly revised and updated to reflect new additions and changes in the state to be approved by the protection community.

In the United States, it is "endangered" one of two categories for protection according to the Act on Endangered species. The second category is “endangered”. This difference in terminology can be confusing for people who are used to IUCN definitions, or in conversations where people do not clarify and do not provide information about the classification system they use. Other nations with laws on the protection of endangered species tend to use IUCN standards, and these standards are also used in international law.

There are many reasons why species may threaten, including loss of habitat, move, disease and climate change. Scientists who examine the threats of species examine countless reasons why organisms can be vulnerable to extinction. The interconnected nature of the relationships between animals and the environment can become particularly important, as the loss of one species can create a domino effect that spreads to other species. Identifying key species in the environment before extinctionIt is an important aspect of protection.

The steps that can be taken to protect species include the introduction of captivity breeding programs for the purpose of creating a gene fund that can be re -introduced into nature, along with the laws on the protection of wilderness, cleaning the environment and taking steps to reduce human activities that threaten the environment. This includes the implementation of political changes at the international level, as well as encouraging individual communities to maintain endangered species in their regions.
