What is the SSB interview?
The SSB interview is a number of tests and questions and answers carried out to determine the suitability of the applicant for the Indian Armed Forces. The interview is carried out by the Council for Selection of Services (SSB) and lasts five days. During these five days, potential recruits are tested in two areas - intelligence and personality - and finding out of these interviews and tests are used to analyze the applicant for the Armed Forces of India. Browsing the SSB interview requires mental focus, solid logic and reasoning forces, strong social skills and moral integrity.
The interview of the armed forces performed by the SSB was first used during the First World War. During the initial struggle, a large number of soldiers were killed, which forced military officials to kill the help of psychologists to find suitable candidates in the Indian army. The test is largely a psychological evaluation, although a small part of the interview is devoted to evaluation of intelligence and skills.
Theinterview with the selection of services consists of two phases. In the first phase, candidates are brought to the test headquarters and are officially registered as applicants. Then a number of forms are provided, including a PIQ questionnaire (PIQ) to fill in. The next day, the testing process begins and the applicants will receive a news test that includes both written and oral sections. They also take a test of the perception of images - which requires candidates to write a story based on a group shown - followed by a class discussion.
At this point, the first phase of the SSB interview is completed. Applicants are informed who will advance to the second phase of the test process. Those who go to the second phase will undergo a stricter assessment over the next day of the days. The tests submitted include the Autopography test (SD), test reaction test (SRT) and Word Association Test (WAT); This is followed by a number of outdoor tests, including a military or group planning exercise and a "snake race", alsocalled group obstacles. These tests help to collect a clear picture of the personality of the candidate, psychological make -up and the level of intelligence.
The last step in the second phase is a personal interview leading a team of interviews with officers. Before the second phase is officially completed, the applicant must also be asked by the entire Council of the examiners. About half an hour after the second phase is completed, the results are announced. Those who go through the SSB interview are obliged to stay on the next round of medical testing.
