What is Viola odorata?

Viola Odorata is a plant that was first created in Europe and Asia, but can now also be found in North America and Australia. It is also referred to the names of Garden Violet or Sweet Fial because the plant blooms with sweet trembling flowers. Other common names that the plant is known is English purple and common purple. Flowers are edible and parts of the Viola Odorata plant are sometimes used as a herbal remedy for the treatment of conditions such as sore throat or respiratory overload. Although Viola odorata is a lot like other types of purple, there are several differences. In addition to the sweet aroma, one of the differences includes the color of a flower that is white or dark purple. The leaves on the plant can be described as oval or in the shape of the heart and the shoots of the plant grow on the soil. In ancient Greece, purple was considered a symbol of love. These plants prefer shadow and soil that is wet. Generally, it is easy to grow. Flowers usually bloom at the beginning of spring and last about two months.

In India, the plant is referred to by several herbal names, including Banafsa, Banafsha or Banaksa. Herbal remedy is often used to treat individuals suffering from diseases such as tonsillitis or sore throat. Some have used plant extracts as an anti -inflammatory gel or cream to reduce swelling and ulcer treatment.

Viola odorata can also be made of herbal tea, which offers further therapeutic use. When you drink herbal tea, you often sweat. Tea then works as an expectorant and is very useful for those who have conditions such as bronchitis or for chest cold.

When an individual suffers from a condition such as bronchitis, there is usually a significant amount of mucus accumulation. After drinking herbal tea, however, mucus is released so that it can start coughing.
