What Are Efferent Neurons?
Efferent neurons, also called motor neurons, are neurons that conduct motor impulses, mostly multipolar neurons. The soma is located in the gray matter of the central nervous system and vegetative ganglia, and its protrusions constitute outgoing nerve fibers. Nerve fibers are eventually distributed in muscle tissue and glands to form effectors.
