What is Tunica albuginea?

tunica albuginea is a connective tissue or fibrous envelope located in the penis. It is an integral part of the male reproductive system and in the expansion of the genitourinary system, which includes reproduction and urinary systems. This anatomical term is of Latin origin. "Tunica" means "covering" or "coat". This applies to the dense, white membrane layer of the Tunica albuginea, which consists of bundles of interlaced tissue. "Albuginea" means "white", as in the white part of an egg called albumin. It is a mushroom chamber that captures the amount of blood needed to achieve an erection, which is the condition necessary for sexual intercourse. Working with Corpora Cavernosa is Buck's Fascia that compresses the blood passing through the deep dorsal vein of the penis, which is located below it. This tissue is therefore responsible for maintaining an erection made possible by Tunica albuginea.buck's Fascia, named after an American plastic surgeon from the Civil War Gurdon Buck, in fact acts as an envelope of Tunica Albuginea.

Penis is not the only part of the body with tissue tunica albuginea. Its connecting structure, testicles, also has this fibrous coverage. In this case, however, it is a blue white shade rather than strict white. Tunica vaginalis is covered, a membrane that extends over the front and sides of the testicles. However, it does not include the albuginea tunic on the epididymis, a slim tube of the sperm pipe of the male reproductive organ system. It is also missing at the rear border of the testicles, where sperm blood vessels enter the organ.

Inner layer of tornica albuginea is covered with tunica vasculosa. This is the vascular layer of this part of the penis, so the name of the blood vessels has a network of blood vessels. It is associated with a free, fine and mushroom fabric called areolar tissue.

In addition, the Tunica albuginea is not limited to the male reproductive system. The ovaries of the female reproductive system have tissue in thick applications consisting of short fibers with cells of formsby the spindle. Tissue is covered with germ epithelium, a single layer composed of cubes in the shape of a cube and has a large ball in the shape of a ball.
