What are metals of alkaline countries?

Metal alkaline countries are metal elements found in the second vertical line of the periodic table. Metals of alkaline countries acquire their name because of their reactive qualities. When these metals are mixed in trenches, they create a pH that is higher than 7, a level that is defined as alkaline. There are six elements that consist of alkaline metals of the country: Berylium (BE), magnesium (mg), calcium (CA), Strontium (SR), barium (BA) and Radium (RA).

Metals of alkaline countries are found in the bark of the Earth, usually in rock structures. The most commonly found elements in the group are magnesium and calcium. Magnesium is located in carnellite, magnesite and dolomite and is the eighth most abundant element in the Earth's crust. Calcium is the fifth most abundant element in the bark and often occurs in chalk, limestone and anhydrite.

There are certain characteristics of alkaline earth metals that share all elements in the group. All are very hard and dense, but they have higher melting points than most other elements. Each of these VLIt can be attributed to the fact that their atoms have two valence electrons, creating a strong metal bond.

Another feature shared by all alkaline metals of the Earth is the silver shine on their surfaces and their ability to serve as a strong conductor of electricity. All elements are also very reactive, so much that they rarely occur in nature, except when in compounds with other materials. Each of the metals of the alkaline country also has its own special features, which makes it useful in different ways.

Berylium is a very light metal that is often used for windows in X -ray machines and in a nuclear environment. It is also often combined with other metals, such as copper, to create very strong alloys that easily do not park or corrode.

Magnesium is often used as an aluminum and its great abundance. It is a very soft metal and can be cast very easily in various forms.Magnesium also has use in medicine; Both magnesia and Epsom salts are part of magnesium.

Calcium has many different purposes. Glass, cement and mortar are formed using calcium. Its properties as an antibacterial agent have also been listed for use on farms or buildings that maintain poultry.

Although less common than other metals in the Alkaline Family family are used in the production of vacuum tubes by strontium and barium. Radium, the only radioactive element in the group, is used in the treatment of cancer.
