What is a gyroscope?

Gyroscope was named Leon Foucault, a French physicist, in an effort to prove the rotation of the country. A free rotating disc, called a rotor, was mounted on the spinning axis in the center of a larger stable wheel. When the ground turned on its axis, the stable wheel turned with it, but the rotor did not move. The movement of the mounted wheel watched the rotation of the Earth, rotating around the center disk and demonstrating the rotation of the country.

Usually, in modern gyroscopes, the rotor is constantly rotating. Constant spinning adds certain properties to the gyroscope and increases its use. Like the spinning upper part, which remains at the level of the inclined surface, the spinning center of the gyroscope does not change its orientation. Rotor turning means that any change in orientation affects all points on the rotor evenly, causing the rotor to rotate on the solid axis. This is called precession .

Creates a firm orientation. The rotor spins a solid axis while the structure around it rotates or leans. In space where fourThe compass points do not have nonsense, the axis of the spinning rotor is used as a reference point for navigation.

In addition to the rotor, modern gyroscopes usually have two other rings called Gimbals, in the middle of a larger stable ring. The rotor spins on the axle connected to a smaller internal arrest. This trick rotates on the horizontal axis created by its connection with a larger outer trick. The larger gimbal rotates vertically and turns on the axis connected to a stable outer ring.

Gyroscopes are in compass for aircraft, spacecraft and ships. On the aircraft, the pitch and orientation of the aircraft are measured against the constant rotation of the gyroscope. In the universe where there are few reference points that help navigate, the Gyroscopuoorientation Spits Center is used as a point.

massive gyroscopes are used to stabilize large ships and some satellites. In some missiles they are also used in the consulting systemh. They even make a fun baby toy.
